The opening sentence says:

A brief note is on page one: “Observing the Patterns of Life, and Getting Rid of Predictable Surprises”.
On page 2, “The Value of Small Opportunities”. Next comes an article by John Garrigues entitled “The Key to Self-Knowledge: Altruism Is The Cure For Human Folly” (pp. 3-5).
Pages 6 and 7 bring “The Sudden Light of Zen: One Koan, Two Commentaries”, which is a fragment from the book “The Iron Flute”.
“Experiencing the Yoga Aphorisms” is on page 8, and then we have the note “From Damodar, on Prayer”.
