In These Gloomy Days of ‘Perfect Storm’

In these gloomy days of “perfect storm”,
When fierce waves heave as grey sheer walls,
And fighting them may turn into martyrdom,
A boat’s taken up the crest, from which it falls.

In recent days the surface of the sea
Was mirror-like reflecting sunny rays,
And nothing presaged that they could flee,
Eliminating the sapphire water blaze.

It’s no wonder, it’s the butterfly effect.
A distant butterfly was flapping wings
One day, causing what you least expect
In such a world of many changing things.

And having this idea in the mind,
One sees the power of every thought;
For each idea can be crucial for mankind,
As it shapes individual and common lot.

In these gloomy days of “perfect storm”,
When tragically many ships are wrecked,
We can but throw planks in mental form,
While thinking of the butterfly effect.
